Contemporary modern art
Henriette Sonne works with Conceptual Modern Art, with objects and issues from our everyday life. The artist exhibits both in Norway and abroad. The contract has been signed for her 11. exhibition in USA this time a SOLO exhibition at the New Art Center in New York, exhibition is scheduled to be in March 2013.
Henriette Sonne has studied art in England, Copenhagen and New York, while her studio work has mostly taken place in Denmark and Norway.
In time Sonne’s work has had more and more influence nationally and internationally. The subjects the artist is working with are relevant and executed in a new way. She works with Conceptual Contemporary Art, the paintings are of wonderfully high technical quality, thought through, and communicative. They create room for discussion and dialog.
Henriette Sonne tells that her first exhibition in New York was curated by the former employee of the Guggenheim Museum in New York and since gallery owner, Miss Ruthie Tucker.
Since, she has exhibited at many different Contemporary exhibitions, including SNAB Louvre (at the Louvre in Paris), ARTexpo New York, Florence Biennale for Contemporary art.
Sonne’s work has been spoken of in Scandinavian and European Art Magazines, and a large number of magazines in New York over the past 8 years. “Potential Fun” from the Connected series has been on the front cover of New York Art Magazine, VOL 14 Fall 2009.
