The paintings in the “Connected” series are based on how the painter Henriette Sonne sees the choices we make in life. And how everyday objects that under normal circumstances would loose their function by being plugged in, now become an example of how we quite happily plug anything in, -in the hope for a more efficient everyday life.

We live in a world that constantly strive for efficiency and that ought to create more choices and more freedom for ourselves, but in reality we are constantly expected to have our mobiles switched on, be available on email, watch TV etc.
